Ultimately we change our habits to get well or to prevent illness and disease.  The keys to our healing stands with Jesus Christ and all he has revealved and all that God has provided.

He alone holds the keys.  Eating right is simply an act of taking care of the bodies we have been given with the foods God has provided.

I pray God’s Spirit guides you in this journey that I am sure He has brought you here begin.  Start slow and slowly buy only these items for a while.  At the same time giving away, donating, or gradually consuming and not restocking harmful foods.  You can do this.  Let’s go shopping!

First things first

Sugar is toxic and causes disease

Grains, breads and dairy are hard on the gut and feed harmful bacteria and prevent healing.  Cut these three things and the healing begins.

  • Coconut Oil (organic, unrefined if possible)
  • Nut butter (organic peanut butter, almond butter, or some other nut butter)

Somewhere along my journey, I vaguely remember hearng about mercury toxicity, I assumed I had addressed it with my strict diet and lifestyle changes.

I have since traced back my kidney and skin issues from around the same time I had swine flu and the tamaflu shot while pregnant in Montana 2009 and having dental work completed through a student dental program for pregnant moms in 2011.

Up to this point, it has been an oversight, I had not quite acknowledged the fact that I had put two and two together.

I have watched the Vaxxed documentary on the autism link to MMR vaccine, however,  the fact that my four year old son has early signs of autism and has never received ANY vaccinations has me questioning his HEAVY METAL toxicity levels.

My kidney issues, his autistic traits. There has to be a link.

My friend made this connection today and has confirmed my oversighted thoughts and now I’m paying attention…

Here are simple ways you can eat to help detox from heavy metals.

Cilantro Chelation Pesto

This wonderful recipe is by Colorado nutritionist Lynn Mayer, CNC

Ingredients

  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1/3 cup of Brazil nuts (selenium)
  • 1/3 cup Sunflower seeds (Zinc, Magnesium)
  • 2 cups packed with fresh cilantro (Vitamin A) – Also known as Coriander, Chinese Parsley
  • 2/3 cup flaxseed oil
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice (Vitamin C)
  • 2 tablespoons dulse powder
  • Sea salt to taste

Directions

Process the cilantro and flaxseed oil in a blender until the coriander is chopped. Add the garlic, nuts and seeds, dulse and lemon juice and mix until the mixture is finely blended into a paste. Add a pinch of sea salt to taste, and blend again. Store in dark glass jars if possible. It freezes well, so purchase cilantro in season and fill enough jars to last through the year. Cilantro has been proven to chelate toxic metals from our bodies in a relatively short period of time. Combined with the benefits of the other ingredients, this recipe is a powerful tissue cleanser. Two teaspoons of this pesto daily for three weeks is purportedly enough to increase the urinary excretion of mercury, lead, and aluminum, thus effectively removing these toxic metals from our bodies.

Simple Cilantro Pesto

Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 cup almonds, cashews or other nuts
  • 1 cup packed freesh cilantro leaves
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

Put the cilantro and olive oil in blender and process until the cilantro is chopped. Add the rest of the ingredients and process to a lumpy paste (you may need to add a touch of hot water and scrape the sides of the blender). You can change the consistency by altering the amount of olive oil and lemon juice, but keep the 3:1 ratio of oil to juice. (It freezes well, so you can make several batches at once.

One Day at a Time

We live in a culture that seeks immediate results.  We want things NOW.  We want things easy.

Well nothing is that simple.  When it comes to healing and lasting results we must take it One Day at a Time and recognize our complete need for divine intervention.

I want to simplify it for you and share some history of how I got to where I am.

I had heard about detoxing and cleansing when I worked for Dr Christopher’s herb shop connection back in college over 10 years ago.  But like so many I had never considered my need for health, I was young and healthy.

That was then.

Rewind back 9 months ago…

I knew I was not feeling well, tired all the time, and I struggled to get out of bed.  It seemed like a mild depression or lack of motivation.  Maybe I was just getting older.

I had settled for this as normal.  I couldn’t figure out why I had no energy, after all I ate a variety of good food and drank only water.

My kidneys were hurting almost constantly, reminding me of the nickel sized kidneys stone that had put me in the hospital for three days in August of 2012 and my skin eczema had reached an all time unbearable, itchy, and blistering state that kept me up most nights.  Escpecially the week leading up the the full moon.

I soon started experimenting with removing added sugar from my diet and discovered that my eczema and my kidneys were fueled by added sugars.

I knew I had stumbled on something incredibly effective and dove right in.  My body was overloaded in many areas and I was desperate for lasting result.

Here is my reason’s for detoxing.

  • I knew my body must be overloaded
  • I heard about the benefits of detoxing
  • My organs were beginning to hurt for no apparent reason
  • I was tired of feeling like crap
  • The improvements I had after stopping my sugar intake and beginning my Organic Juice Cleanse greens after one week were evident

About this same time, I had been talking with my friend in South Africa and gaining a lot of good remedies and I had checked out the book 30 Day Faith Detox By Laura Harris from the library.  This all fell into place at the right time.  I began noticing changes to my eczema and even surprised by the disappearance of the corn on my foot that I had been quite used to as the new normal.  I started using the methods in the 30 Day Faith Detox By Laura Harris which included Detoxing the Liver gently, Colon and Eating Clean.
