When it comes to major life events, there is nothing that fully helps but God alone. Our minds need protection, our body’s, our everything. There is so much going on all around us and if we are not fully prepared by the Spirit then we can be knocked down quickly. So we must be prepared by putting on Christ and the panoply. When one is physically sick, tired or hungry our guard is down. We must choose to take care of ourselves and eat well and be our best.
The Full Armor of God
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

If you would have told me last year that things in my life would NEVER be the same I would have told you you were crazy.
But that is exactly what has occurred over the past nine month. Every aspect of my life has been demolished and reconstructed in a whole new and improved way.
- I sleep soundly and wake up refreshed.
- I eat better food.
- I feel better.
- I shop differently.
- My relationships have changed.
- My routine has had drastic reconstructing.
- My goals and perspectives have changed.
NOTHING is as it used to be and it NEVER will be again. I’m moving on to new horizons. There is NO TURNING BACK.
Thank God for giving me a NEW LIFE.

After taking on what seems to be the impossible, detoxing myself from sugar, I was faced with the echoing dilemma, “How do I take sugar from my kids?” and “Will life ever be the same?”
The answers are quite complex but not unreachable.
It came to me after talking about it with my four year old.
NOTE: My kids love playing in the compost pile and seeing who can find the biggest worms.
I was talking to the kids about parasites, the germs and invaders of the body, and about how sugars feed them and out of my mouth came the question,
“Do you want to feed your worms?”
This pretty much took care of the problem. Of course he didn’t want them in his tummy.
I haven’t had much of a struggle with the kids since. Praise God for simple things. Kids are so amazing and if we take the time to teach them truth at a level they understand, they grasp it quickly and completely.
I wish it was that easy for the teenager and husband to grasp. But the echo of this question works for the young ones for now.
. . .
Funny thing is, when my four year old now wants a sucker from the bank line he turns to mommy in public and says loud and serious,
“I WANNA FEED MY WORMS!”
